How To Buy Motorhome Online

Recreational Vehicles

Traveling and camping have always been popular pastimes for many reasons. Visiting new places, meeting new people, and simply getting away from the "same old, same old" are just a few reasons why traveling and camping have become so popular. But for many, these hobbies haven't really been affordable or realistic - until now.

Today, consumers have more options than ever when it comes time to buy motorhome. Consumers can purchase brand-new or used, and many dealerships offer financing. There are a myriad of websites available for research and "window shopping", and some sites even feature "Buyer's Guides".

RV's are versatile, comfortable, and great fun. With three different classes of motorized vehicles and five different classes of towable vehicles, the consumer has a virtually limitless array of choices when they buy motorhome.

Motorized RV's:

Class A motorized RV's are the largest motorized RV's, typically 30 - 40 feet long and 8 feet wide. Brand new, their prices start about $50,000 and can run as high as $750,000. They can sleep up to six and amenities are identical to residential homes - electricity, water, propane gas, heat, air, etc. They have fully furnished kitchens and are considered to be the most luxurious of the motorized RV's.

Class B motorized RV's are the smallest of the motorized RV's at 16 - 23 feet long and 6.5 to 7 feet long. Brand new, prices range from $45,000 to $95,000. They're equipped with small kitchens and have both heat and air-conditioning.

Class C motorized RV's are sized between Classes A and B, usually 20 - 32 feet long and 8 feet wide. Brand new Class C RV's start at $40,000, the least expensive of the three classes, and offer amenities similar to higher-priced Class A motorhomes. With overhead sleeping cabins, Class C motorhomes can sleep up to 8 people.

Towable RV's:

Fifth Wheel Trailers start at $15,000 and typically run 21 - 40 feet in length by 8 feet wide. Depending on the specific model, they can sleep anywhere from 2 to 8 people and feature comfortable amenities and ample "living space".

Travel Trailers start at $10,000 and smaller models can be towed by cars. They range in length from 14' to 36' and can sleep up to 10 people depending on the model. Like the other RV's, they offer all the comforts of home including heat, air, electricity and water.

Toy Haul Trailers start at $12,000 and are designed with a loading ramp allowing the consumer to bring along a motorcycle or ATV. They are available in both Fifth Wheel and Travel Trailer styles.

Tent Campers are the least expensive of all the RV's available, starting at a mere $5,000. They can sleep up to 6 people depending on the model, are lightweight enough to be towed by almost any vehicle, and are best for people who enjoy camping in remote locations.

Finally, Truck Campers are similar to tent campers, with the exception that they're specifically built to tow behind a pickup truck. They start around $10,000 new, can sleep up to four, and are best for remote location campers.

As you can see, there are many options and price ranges available, making it easy for you to find and buy motorhome today!
